PRELIMINARY

CLIENT-SERVER ARCHITECTURE

The ECView Pro NMS software employs a client-server architecture. That is,

the software includes two components; the ECView Pro server and the

ECView Pro client platform.

The ECView Pro server component only needs to be installed on one PC in

the network. This PC should be at a location in the network where it can

reach all IP subnets and network devices that need to be managed.

The ECView Pro client component can be installed on multiple PCs, which

log into the server to run the management platform.

The server and client can be installed in the same computer. There can be

multiple servers installed in the network, but only one client can connect to

one server at one moment of time.
