Edge-Core's Gigabit Aggregation Switch Series is ideal for service

provider aggregation layer service for converged voice, data and

video network needs. They provide a cost-effective solution, wire

speed L2/L3 switching and routing, an abundant feature set, robust

security functionality, and comprehensive QoS features so service

providers can deliver the scalability and reliability necessary for a

ECS4600 Series switches offer an extensive range of features for the

aggregation edge. With IEEE 802.1w Rapid Spanning Tree protocol,

4600 series provide loop free networking together with redundant

links to the core network with rapid convergence. IEEE 802.1s

Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol allows a spanning-tree instance

per VLAN, for Layer 2 load sharing on redundant links. They provide

enhanced security features for connectivity and access control,

including ACLs, authentication, and advanced security with IEEE

802.1X.
